Multi-award-winning South African rapper Refiloe Maele Phoolo, popularly known as Cassper Nyovest, recently shared a heartfelt tribute to the late Victor Bogopane, famously known as Doc Shebeleza.

In 2014, L’Tido sampled Doc’s hit *Ghets Ghetsa* for his song *Steve Kekana*. In a rare act of kindness in the music industry, Doc cleared the sample without requesting payment or royalties.
He cleared the sample for me, without taking a percentage or charging me. That’s unheard of in the music industry! Condolences to his family.”
