Popular Atteridgeville DJ and music producer Rametsi Daniel Tladi, also known as DJ Tsitso, has died at the age of 37.

His team announced his passing on Monday, just days after he was reportedly shot several times in Atteridgeville, Pretoria.

“His untimely death has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his family, friends, fans and the entire music industry,” reads the statement issued by his team.

DJ Tsitso was a talented artist known for his electrifying performances and hit songs like Meropa6 Ekseni, Baby Boy, Kuzoba MnandiJaiva Majaivane, and Chomiyaka Jo.

“He was a beacon of creativity, uniting people on the dance floor and showcasing the transformative power of music.

“Beyond his musical talent, DJ Tsitso was a cherished son, father, husband, friend, mentor and role model to many. His passion, humility, and dedication to his craft were evident in every beat he produced and every performance he delivered. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those touched through his art,” his team said.

It promised to share details regarding memorial services and tributes in due course.
