Nokulunga “Gugu” Ndabezitha, the latest evictee from Big Brother Mzansi, says she wasn’t shocked by her elimination, as she had foreseen it in a dream the night before.
The 34-year-old traditional healer from Soweto had always aspired to be part of the reality show and was disappointed to leave so early.
Speaking about her experience with Sowetan, Gugu described her time in the house as transformative.
“Being away from social media and my phone allowed me to reflect on myself and experience growth. It was amazing,” she shared. While she doesn’t always foresee events in her own life, she dreamt of host Smash Afrika asking her to leave, which turned out to be a premonition.
Her strategy to create “confusion” in the game didn’t unfold as she had planned, but she remains grateful for the opportunity.
“I auditioned three times before finally making it. It’s proof that persistence pays off,” she said. She also hopes her journey inspires others to pursue their dreams regardless of age.
Although she’s uncertain about the show’s winner, she’s rooting for Amanda “Mandy Hagan” Makhathini, Siphesihle “Mshini” Lekwadu, and Philile Nzama, hoping for a female champion this season.
As for her next steps, Gugu plans to return to work, continue her prophetic work, and engage with her TikTok followers.
